Many people who like small animals will lend a helping hand to stray cats and dogs, sometimes giving them a home and sometimes providing them with a full meal. This was a normal thing, but recently, a kind man in the United States picked up a "kitten" and found something was wrong when he came home. When he checked it online, he was even more frightened...
Jared Allen Yost works in a gardening company in Minnesota, USA. He usually likes animals very much, so when he followed the sound and saw a "kitten" at work, he did not hesitate to help it.

At that time, Yost saw the "kitten" and looked for its mother nearby, but there was no trace of the "female cat" nearby. Plus, the weather was about to change, so Yost, who was worried, decided to take it home.
After bringing the "kitten" home, Yost gave it some food and introduced it to his family. Everything seemed to be normal.
Later, Yost made an appointment with the pet hospital for a check-up. At the same time, he also discovered that something seemed wrong with the cat. It always made a loud sound, which was not the "meow~meow~" cry of a little milk cat at all. He began to consider a wild guess.
Yost began to wonder whether this cat was a short-tailed cat. You must know that short-tailed cats are different from our domestic pet cats. Short-tailed cats live in the wild and prey on birds, poultry and even domestic animals. They can grow to about half a meter tall and more than one meter long. What is even more frightening is that this kind of short-tailed cat will actively attack humans.

Yost decided to search the Internet for pictures of bobtail cats to confirm his suspicions. Sure enough, his cat is very different from ordinary pet cats. There are white triangles behind its ears, its paws are much larger than cat's paws, and there are markings on its nose. The most important feature is: the tail is very short.
Yost, who almost confirmed his suspicion, sent the photo of the kitten to the local wildlife rehabilitation center, where the staff confirmed that the cat Yost picked up was indeed a bobtail cat.

After confirming the true identity of the "kitten", Yost handed it over to the Wildlife Rehabilitation Center so that it could receive better care. Although it is unknown why this little bobcat lost its mother, I believe that with the help of the rehabilitation center, it will soon be able to return to the wild and start a new life.
