Hebei dog thief was caught at the scene: police officers were slashed, smashed into police cars and poisoned with darts to injure people

According to news, in Neiqiu County, Xingtai City, Hebei Province, a group formed a group to steal dogs in the middle of the night, which gradually turned into a blatant robbery of dogs, until they shot villagers with poison darts. The unscrupulous trio of dog thieves were recently captured by Xingtai Neiqiu police. During the arrest process, Lu Wei, the police station instructor who made the initial arrest, was stabbed by a tough dog thief. Lu Wei, who was discharged from the hospital after surgery on July 30, began to rest at home.

"Stop, don't run!" At around 8:00 on June 23, Xiao Wang, a villager in Guanyi Village, Neiqiu County, saw three dog thieves shooting and injuring his own dog. He ran out and shouted to stop them. "Looking for death!" the dog thief cursed. Xiao Wang picked up a brick and threw it at the dog thief. At the same time, another big dog thief picked up a crossbow and shot at Xiao Wang. Xiao Wang felt his whole body go weak, his eyes went dark, and he fell to the ground.

The villagers who came after hearing the news went to three hospitals for Xiao Wang before finally starting rescue at Shijiazhuang Heping Hospital. Blood tests revealed that he was suffering from cyanide poisoning. Because the rescue was timely and the dose of medicine was not large, Xiao Wang's life was not in danger. After the police inspected the scene, they found that what the dog thief shot at Xiao Wang was a used dart. If the dog thief used a new dart to shoot at the villagers, the consequences would be disastrous.

According to the public security agency, since the end of the lunar calendar in 2014, cases of domestic dogs shot with poisonous crossbows have occurred one after another in Neiqiu Village, and burglaries have also become more frequent. Suspects usually choose villagers' homes with open locks on the outside to commit theft, and they are skilled in committing crimes. The police analyzed that the perpetrator may have been wearing gloves and cut off the exposed lock without leaving any valuable clues, making it very difficult to solve the case.

Villagers of Guanyi Village said that at first the dog thieves committed the crime secretly in the middle of the night. Later, seeing that most of the villagers dared to get angry and dare not speak out, it gradually evolved into brazenly robbing dogs during the day, until recently they directly shot poison darts at the resisting villagers.

Three suspects smashed a police car and attacked policemen

At 8:20 on June 23, Lu Wei, the instructor of Guanzhuang Police Station, received instructions from the command center that a group of dog thieves shot villagers with poison darts in Guanyi Village and fled north along the path. Lu Wei led two auxiliary police officers to the scene quickly. On the way, they learned that someone driving a black Santana car in Litian Village was stealing dogs. Lu Wei immediately turned around and rushed to Litian Village.

Lu Wei and the other three rushed to the entrance of Litian Village. The villagers shouted, "The police are here, it's that car!" Lu Wei saw the black car making smoke and immediately drove after him. While chasing, he called the command center for support. The police car arrived at the entrance of a bridge. Before the police could get out of the car, three dog thieves armed with machetes, crossbows and beer bottles smashed the front windshield of the police car and prepared to drive away. Lu Wei gave an order and the police car crashed into the rear of the black Santana. The car thief started the car and fled.

While chasing, the police opened a small opening in the "spider web" on the front windshield of the police car. After chasing for a while, the suspect vehicle suddenly stopped and the three people abandoned the car and ran away. The police got out of the car and found that the suspect car was stuck in the mud and could not move. They immediately ran after them with batons and handcuffs. Seeing that the situation was not going well, the dog thief snatched the villager's bicycle and continued to escape. The police immediately borrowed the villager's bicycle to chase him.

When Lu Wei immediately caught up with a fat dog thief weighing 200 kilograms, the fat dog thief dropped his bicycle and ran away. Lu Wei chased him a few meters and threw the dog thief to the ground. Lu Wei and auxiliary policeman Li Qingwen firmly controlled the dog thief. Another auxiliary policeman did not follow because he was guarding the suspected vehicle. The dog thief shouted, and his accomplice who ran away turned back with a machete. The two dog thieves attacked Lu Wei from the front and back. One of them hit Lu Wei on the head with a crossbow, causing blood to flow on the spot. Three dog thieves and two police officers were finally outnumbered and the three dog thieves escaped again.

Police reinforcements rushed to the scene. One policeman stayed to rescue Lu Wei, who was unconscious due to excessive blood loss. Auxiliary policeman Li Qingwen got into the police car and continued to chase the dog thief despite his hands being covered with blood. The police formed a siege on the dog thieves and captured two of them. Another dog thief who slipped away and went into hiding was also captured that afternoon. The police found 22 dead dogs, as well as stolen LCD TVs and other items from the suspect car.

Director Qi Yaolai of the Neiqiu County Public Security Bureau rushed to the scene and immediately sent Lu Wei to the nearest hospital for rescue. Because of his serious injury, he was transferred to the Municipal People's Hospital. He was diagnosed with a skull fracture. After the hospital's full rescue efforts, Lu Wei was out of danger. Because he could not eat, Lu Wei, who was not fat at all, lost ten pounds in a few days.
