Although the name is "Dog Market", in fact, the pets sold in the Dog Market are not just dogs. It is no exaggeration to say that dogs are among the pets, even richer than the flower and bird markets in some urban areas. Of course, pet cats are not uncommon in the dog market. Many vendors will sell their pet cats they bring in the dog market, and some even set up camps and specialize in selling pet cats in the dog market.
Moreover, according to the author's observation, the overall sales of pet cats have even surpassed that of some pet dogs in recent times. I met such a vendor while wandering in the dog market. As can be seen from the picture, the vendor is selling a cage of earth cats. The reason why they are called local cats is actually because these cats are not of good overall appearance, and they are not the more expensive breed of cats.
During the exchange, the vendor also made it clear that these cats are indeed local cats and the prices are relatively affordable. The quotations given by the vendor range from 50 to 200 yuan. Because the quality of these cats is not uniform, the vendor makes different quotations for them, which seems more reasonable. However, the author does not believe that any of these local cats can reach a value of 200 yuan.
During the display process, many buyers also came to choose. One of the buyers took a fancy to a local cat with a dark brown fur. The vendor looked at it and said, "This is only 200 yuan, it is a string of Hualien cats!" The buyer naturally could not accept the price, and said, "What about Hualien cats? Isn't this the kind of wild cats wandering in the community?" According to the author, this vendor has some slaughtered customers. Even though this black and brown cat is really politely crossed, its quality is so bad that it is obviously not worth the price of 200 yuan.
Other onlookers also said that they should work harder, which is too high. Such a cat is not worth the price at all, and some onlookers have been directly persuaded to leave. The author also thinks that the price of such a cat is more reasonable at around 100 yuan. 200 yuan is indeed a bit exaggerated. After all, we all know that local dogs can rarely be sold at 200 yuan, and some of them are even worth tens of yuan.
