Unable to keep a small white cat, she wanted to return it but was rejected. A woman brutally skinned and abandoned her body in a pet shop.

A shocking case was reported in Lijiang City, Yunnan Province. A woman, who was suspected of buying a cat and trying to return it, skinned the five-month-old white cat alive and abandoned the body in front of the pet store. The local police also intervened in the investigation after receiving the report.

According to The Paper, pet shop owner Sheng Nu said that on the 3rd, a woman went to the store to buy a white British shorthair cat for RMB 2,560. She returned to the store two days later and asked for a return on the grounds that she could not afford it. However, the store stipulates that products cannot be returned unless there are health issues, but they can resell them for her.

Unexpectedly, the woman returned to the store on the afternoon of the 8th and clamored to return the goods. Ms. Sheng recalled that the store was busy at the time, so I told her that I would help her resell the goods if I had free space. She also agreed, and there was no quarrel during the period. Unexpectedly, when she walked out of the store after get off work that day, she saw a black paper bag. When she opened it, she was surprised to find a skinned cat corpse. Judging from the remaining white fur on the head, it was speculated that it should be the white British shorthair sold to the woman.

This incident sparked public outrage after it was posted on Weibo. Netizens left messages and cursed how it could be so cruel, is it still human, and should it be cut into pieces! Among them, the woman suspected of being involved left a message arguing that it was just because of the pet shop’s excessive attitude that she took the cat to a pig farm, killed it, and returned it to its original owner. Angry netizens launched a human flesh search, and the pet shop also reported the case to the local police station for investigation.
