Question: At what stage did football enter your life, or did it always be there?
Ekitic: I think football is the whole of my life. I only do things related to football. Even if I talk to my brothers, most of the time is about football. This is purely my passion, I just love what I do.
Question: Have you always been a forward?
Ekitic: I have always been an offensive player. When I was younger, I was a smaller one, so I was a winger, but I grew taller around 16 to 21 years old, and now I am too long! That's why I went to the middle - becoming a center.
Question: Has there been a special turning point in your career?
Ekitic: When I was 14 years old, I played football at the Lance Youth Training Camp, and I played very poorly at that time. I am the kind of person who loves to daydream on the court, a "sleeping" player. They told me that if it was the case at the end of the season, it would be over. Then I knew this would never happen. In my mind, I want to be the best. That incident made me concentrate and became a turning point.
Question: What other turning points have you experienced?
Ekitic: When I went to Denmark on loan, I sat on the bench - I had no choice but to play. That was a turning point because I wanted to prove that I played well. When I returned to Lance, I was the number one person on the forward roster. That experience made my life.
Question: To what extent did your time at Paris Saint-Germain - to what extent did that experience shape you today?
Ekitic: Being an excellent player is the biggest turning point in my life. That was the first time in my life that I had tasted failure. It made my mind more resilient. I've become different since I went to Paris. I am a far better player and better person than before. I have changed a lot.
Question: How have you felt at Liverpool so far?
Ekitic: The first feeling is pride. I know that football is composed of moments - you may be at the peak and then you fall straight. I am determined to be ready at all times, train hard, improve myself, and bring success to the team.
Question: What is it like to play football with Salah?
Ekitic: Very good. Salah is a cool guy, he is very open to me and very easy to communicate with. He is really a very great athlete. You can improve yourself and learn from him. I hope we can score a lot of goals together and bring some wins to the team.
Question: If you can only achieve one more thing in your career, what would it be?
Ekitic: It's hard because I want to achieve a lot of things, but now it's to win the Premier League championship with Liverpool.
Asked: This is why you came here, isn't it?
Ekitic: Yes. I know how special it is to win the Premier League title for the Englishman. Especially here. So, yes, it would be great to win the league with Liverpool. I'm very excited.
