President of Singapore Airlines (SIA) Group Wu Junpeng in fiscal year 2025 ended at the end of March was RMB 7.01 million, a decrease of 13.49% from RMB 8.11 million in fiscal year 2024, although the group once again delivered a record performance in fiscal year 2025.

However, SIA also reminded at the time that the operating environment of the global aviation industry remains challenging, including changes in tariff policies, trade tensions, economic and geopolitical uncertainty, and ongoing supply chain bottlenecks.

According to the annual report released by SIA on Wednesday (June 25), Wu Junpeng's salary in the 2025 fiscal year, including SIA shares worth 2.29 million yuan, is much less than the 4.34 million yuan a year ago. Salary and bonuses increased from RMB 1.44 million and RMB 2.18 million a year ago to RMB 1.46 million and RMB 3.12 million respectively. His salary also includes nearly RMB 150,000 of benefits (including transportation allowances and travel benefits), which is similar to a year ago.

In addition to the US tariffs, more incidents later occurred, including the Israeli attack on Iran, the crash of an Air India passenger plane, and the end of Jetstar Asia.

Singapore Group's net profit in fiscal 2025 increased by 3.9%, reaching a record 2.778 billion yuan. After releasing its fiscal 2025 results, Singapore Airlines also announced that it would reward qualified employees with a bonus of 7.45 months. Although the 7.45-month bonus is slightly lower than the 7.94 months a year ago, it is higher than the 6.65 months in fiscal 2023.

Singapore Airways Chairman She Linfa pointed out in his annual report that Singapore and Scoot carried a total of 39.4 million passengers in the 2025 fiscal year, the highest record in history. He pointed out that SIA will continue to "strengthen the synergy between the two airlines, optimize fleet and network plans, improve cost efficiency and achieve higher customer value", and is expected to "respond to uncertainty with its dominant position and seize new opportunities."
