FIFA official website shows that Joao Pedro has been added to the Chelsea Club World Cup lineup.
Chelsea has not officially announced the transfer. According to Romano, Chelsea will pay Brighton a transfer fee of 55 million pounds + 5 million pounds to sign 23-year-old Brazilian striker Joao Pedro.
Pedro will complete supplementary registration in the Club World Cup in time and can represent Chelsea in the next Club World Cup quarter-finals.
Club World Cup registration rules: From June 27 to July 3, 2025, the club can replace players whose contracts naturally expire, and add up to 2 new players (not counted to the 35-player cap), and the total number of adjusted people will not exceed 6. New players do not need to be included in the primary list, but the registration process must be completed. The goalkeeper's replacement due to injury will not be included in the adjustment quota limit.
